SKILLS COVERED FOR THE WEEK OF April 22nd
READING- We will continue the Schoolwide Poetry unit. We will examine the features and structural elements associated with poetry. We will also look deeper at figurative language.
ENGLISH- We have been writing responses to our reading in our ELA notebooks. We will continue to learn the structure and elements of different poetry and continue writing a variety of our own poems.
SPELLING- Students have received their Words Their Way (WTW) books and will receive weekly schedules this week. For some the lists may be a review to reinforce skills learned last year. Students will be tested on different days depending on their group.
SCIENCE- We will continue to study "Earth and Space."
SOCIAL STUDIES- We will journey to the Midwest region and learn about how transportation in the region has changed from the past to the present.
Unit Six- Multiplication and Division
