10/20 ~ End of first quarter. Report cards go home Friday, October 27th.
10/24 ~ PFA Culver's Fundraiser
10/31 ~ SID Day-Early Dismissal at 10:55, no lunches will be served. This is also the day of our Halloween Party.
Parade begins at 9:15. Parents are welcome to attend. Then from 9:30-10:30 we will have our Halloween Party
organized by our room parents.
Please sign-up for a parent-teacher conference at your earliest convenience. Thank you.
Week of October 23rd is Red Ribbon Week. More information to come.
- Students may bring a sweatshirt to keep in their lockers as some rooms are cooler than others.

SKILLS COVERED FOR THE WEEK OF OCTOBER 16th
READING- We are continuing to work with the Schoolwide fiction unit. This week we will continue to focus on the elements of plot and how to determine the themes in stories.
ENGLISH- We have been writing responses to our reading in our ELA notebooks. We will continue to work with Schoolwide's writing curriculum. We will write a paragraph on something we could not imagine life without.
SPELLING- Students have received their Words Their Way (WTW) books and will receive weekly schedules this week. For some the lists may be a review to reinforce skills learned last year. Students will be tested on different days depending on their group.
SCIENCE- We will continue with a unit which explores volcanoes and the formation of rocks.
Social Studies- We will continue chapter one "Exploring the United States."
Unit Two- Building Multiplication Arrays
