Notes from the Teacher and Important Dates
The ordering portal is now open to order yearbooks for this school year. All orders are online only.
Parents ordering before December 20th will pay the regular price for books ($20.00 for softcover, basic book). Ordering after that date, there will be a $5.00 increase.

Classroom temperatures in the building may vary. I strongly encourage students to have a sweater or sweatshirt jacket they can keep at school in their locker.
Students can bring a snack to school if they wish. This is optional. If your student chooses to bring a snack, please make sure they are peanut free and do not require silverware. Thank you in advance for your cooperation.

SKILLS COVERED FOR THE WEEK OF December 1st
READING- We will continue our fiction unit and study the elements of fiction text. Theme will be further explored along with character traits.
ENGLISH- We will examine the different types of verbs used in sentences.
SPELLING- Students have been placed into Words Their Way groups and our word study has begun. Students are assessed on words approximately one week after introduction of new word lists.
SCIENCE- Students will explore the formation of rocks.
SOCIAL STUDIES- Students will learn about the United States government and the diverse cultures within the U.S.
Unit Two-Students will work on multiplication and division. Focus will be on strategies used to solve multiplication and division problems along with problem solving.
